Inland Northwest Ale Trail

My Journey along the Ale Trail:

Beer.  Beer is almost always my drink of choice when I'm not enjoying a classy Old Fashioned, Maker's Mark on the rocks, or a Gin & Tonic.  But not just any beer, mind you: Micro brews.

Going to school at Washington State gave me a fine appreciate for Old English 40s (and Brass Monkeys) and Busch Light, but I quickly learned that was NOT the way to drink beer.  After a friend of mine started home brewing, I began to realize the depths and flavors possible with micros.  Like most, I started as a big fan of robust stouts and porters, still not able to truly value the complexity of flavors.  With enough time, and many, MANY pints between 19 year old me and now, I am happy to report that I am now a self-proclaimed beer advocate (not to be confused with www.beeradvocate.com) for all things micros.

When I first moved to Spokane, local breweries were just beginning to pop up and No-Li was still called Northern Lights.  Now there are a plethora around and many I haven't had the opportunity to visit.  This will all change with the Inland Northwest Ale Trail!  So join me on this great drunken journey :)

You know you want to get your Ale Trail on.  So find out more on their website or at your favorite participating brewery.
